I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, but I moved to the McAllen and Mission Texas area 10 years ago. When I moved here I thought it would just be for a few years, but then I met and fell in love with my husband who is born and raised here. So of course I went on to get married, have two children and call the Rio Grande Valley my home. Like so many I know, the love of photography planted itself like a seed in my heart as I was trying to capture memories of my two little sons. That seed blossomed into one of the major loves in my life and for several years now, I spend most of my free time reading about, thinking about, studying or practicing photography and it has taken me on quite the journey.
Some of my other loves are:
- My two adorable dogs: Minnie, our three legged, adopted, very smart poodle and Gigi our crazy, but very loving Shih Tzu
- Sleeping in
- Going out to dinner and seafood
- Dessert
- Being comfortable rather than fashionable
- 80’s music (and some 70′s) and any current music in the Singer/Songwriter genre
- 80’s movies including all John Hughes movies and anything with Tom Cruise or Michael J. Fox. Currently I enjoy Independent films.
- Wearing shirts that are shades of pink
- Watching TV comedies and old episodes of Friends (they never get old)
- a little bit of quiet, alone time each day
- using exclamation points
